I waited a half hour for two vegetable sushi rolls and a lunch special, and kept being told that the order would be out in five minutes. A half-hour after the order was initially placed I finally received my food, due to the fact that the chef wasn't in the building for the entire half-hour that I was waiting. Not only was the service atrocious, but the food itself was awful - the rice was stale and hard, the sushi fell apart before I had the chance to pick it up, and the wasabi was so dried out that it flaked. The hostess that took my order was not only less than competent, but seemed to have no knowledge (and thought it was hysterical) of the chef not being in the building, even though she went to the back room to check several times. Never will I go to this place again, this was the worst service I have ever experienced.

Awesome prices on Thursdays for half price sushi- the rolls are good. They have a great crunchy tuna roll and the staff is sweet and attentive

There are better Chinese places around. These guys are verbally abusive if you think (like most people) that Chow Mein is a noodle dish. They will insist it's actually cabbage. Whatever. I'll just go to a restaurant that will cook what I want without insulting me.I know that I don't speak Chinese, and I've never been to China, but I have had Chinese food in Chinatowns on three continents and this was the first time that Chow Mein was not right.If this is what you want, https://www.google.com/s… , stay away. They have no desire to cook this for you.

I'd like to give 2.5 stars, because the food was ok, but the sushi was unimpressive. I haven't eaten at Overseas in a good 10 years & decided to try them for lunch takeout. I ordered the scallion pancake appetizer & roast pork lo mein for the weekend, but took a bite of both when my food was delivered. The scallion pancakes were very thick & doughy/soggy. I was sorely disappointed as they should be thin & crispy. The pork lo mein was pretty average, like any standard takeout place offers. I ordered sushi against my better judgement, and it was just ok. The white tuna roll had zero taste. The beauty & the beast roll was a little better. I ordered 2 pieces of salmon roe, but ended up with 2 pieces of salmon sushi when I opened the bag. The salmon was nicely cut & tasted ok, as did the fish on top of my roll but for $11 or $12, the roll was lacking. The rolls were decently assembled but boring. I'll stick to my usual Chinese place in Nanuet on rt 59.

We have been coming here for years. Wonderful food, excellent service. All around great place.
